SAVE DARFUR

I had a rather unique dream the other night. I saw what looked like a black bumper sticker, with red words, outlined with white. The words said, SAVE DARFUR. That's it. I woke up to the song, "Actions Speak Louder than Words" in my head.

That evening I was prompted to pray for Sudan, where so much genocide, child mass murdering, kidnapping, and sexual assault occurs. When I fell to my knees, I began to cry. I was praying and crying for the children. My heart was SO BROKEN for them. I begged GOD to remind them they weren't alone, that we hear them, that He hears their prayers. Each time I thought I was done praying, my heart broke again for them and their parents, and began to cry more. I prayed for the ones who were committing such horrible acts to be forgiven, and turn from their sin. 

This happened about two weeks ago. I am not sure if most of you know the situation in Sudan, Darfur in particular, but it's awful. This is from the Save Darfur Web Page:

Ten years ago the Government of Sudan carried out genocide against Darfur civilians systematically murdering 300,000 & displacing over 2 million people. The killing continues today.

I can't even post another blog until I bring this one to light. Nothing seemed to flow right unless I posted this first. We need to know there is so much going on outside our borders. We know that sin and an evil heart condition, is the reason for such malice. We need to keep this country, these children, the parents, this nation in our prayers.
