THANK YOU

But then, there, an envelope with handwriting on it addressed to you!!
Does anyone else get supper excited when they get a card or letter in the mail!! Anything that's not a bill! Good me too!
Holiday& Birthday cards are wonderful too, but when you get an unexpected card or letter, there is just something significant about that! This is such a great way of letting a person know you are thinking of them, and that they matter. Words of affirmation are so appreciated, and to me, a card or a letter solidifies that in the most timeless way.

True we can post a comment on their FB wall, send them a tweet, snap chat, message, or text. But sending letters used be a great pastime. Back when people waited on letters from loved ones, or pen pals, it was exhilarating. Don't get me wrong, I think social media is great, but it kind of steals that excitement.
This to me is such a treasured part of our history that I pray we can continue to use and teach our children.
When anyone of my family members receives a thank you card in the mail, or personally given to us, we put them up and leave them until there is no room. I made a sign a few years back that says "THANK YOU". This serves as a reminder that if someone has done something for you, or perhaps you just want to encourage, a simple thank you card could make them feel so valued, and appreciated.
I challenge you to find a reason to send a card to someone today. Think of that person who would love a thank you, thinking of you, missing you, love you card. May your kindness and thoughts of that person bring them joy when they receive it.
God Bless Family
