D-DAY

I remember caring for a man who fought in the battle of Normandy. He was the kindest person, and didn't mind sharing his war stories. His truck was was hit by a road side bomb and he lost both eyes.

At the time I didn't know much about this particular battle. However now I am a homeschooling mom I brushed up on my History and taught the kids what an epic battle this was, and how because of the winning of this battle there was a turning point in the War. Germany eventually surrendered due the the damage done on this day by America and it's Allies. (I would encourage you to learn more about this day!)

My friend John was an inspiration to me. When I got to care for him many, many years later, I noticed he had each chapter of the Bible in brail. Wow, talk about dedication and patience!

That really puts things into perspective for me. He wasn't going to let anything get in the way of him growing deeper into Gods word! No excuses. Oh that we might be this dedicated.

Thank You to all the Men who served in this war, in this battle; like my friend John. Thank you to those who paid the ultimate price. Thank you, a million times, thank you.

God Bless Family
