DOLLAR BILL

I had a one dollar bill ripped in half sitting in my desk for months. It was extremely worn out and tattered. Because of this, the bill had no value. But for some reason, I just could not bring myself to toss it out. 

One day I grabbed that wrinkled, ripped and tattered dollar bill and decided to see if I could salvage it, to see if it could be usable. I took a piece of clear scotch tape and very carefully placed the two ripped ends together, taping over them making it whole again.

I proceeded to look over my work and examine the bill. Although you could still slightly see the rip underneath the tape, and even though it was very worn out; that tape had mended the dollar bill together and the value had been restored.

You might be in a season where you feel worn, tattered, broken, or there may be areas in your life that seem unsalvageable.

Let this be a gentle reminder that Jesus’ redemptive Love is the tape that holds us together. He will never discard his beloved children because of the wear and tear in our lives. When we rely on the Lord, mighty things begin to happen. In Him our value is always restored.
