THE LITTLE THINGS

A few days ago, I was sitting in my truck, about to head to the store. I've been stressing a bit lately. So I didn't leave in my truck right away I sat there for a few minutes.. I began to pull out of my drive way and I heard childrenS voices. So I stopped, and there was this little boy across the street from my house, about 3 or 4, he looked as if he was going to cross the street to get a ball or something. I opened my car door and asked, "Do you need something?" To which he replied, "I just want to give you a hug!"

I put the car in park, and unbuckled my seat belt, with tears in my eyes, and a bit choked up, I hopped out of my car, and he literally ran to me and just hugged me. I never met or seen him before ever, He got safely back across the road, and I drove off in tears.

A few weeks before that, on Resurrection Sunday, I was sitting on a couch at church, and was not quite myself, again lost in thoughts, and future moves. A sweet little two year old girl ran up to me and hugged me as if I was her most favorite person in the whole world, I had never met her before.

I am not sure why, but God was using these little angels to reach out to me. It's the little things that sometimes make the biggest impact in our lives. Sure I was waiting to hear a sermon about how things will be alright, or a song that would speak directly to me. Instead I received two giant hugs from two tiny angels, all in a reminder that, I should have faith like a child. Take it one step at a time. The Lord is in control.
"Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it." Luke 18:17
I'm so thankful for those precious kiddos. Bill thinks I'm crazy because of these random children giving me hugs! LOL

God bless Family
