FRESH CUT

Today I took my boy to get a fresh new hair cut. As I watched him get it cut, I thought clear back to the first time we cut his hair when he was a baby, then thought of other times when he had no hair at all, I remember telling him if he wanted to grow his hair long, I'd always be okay with that!  He always had really fantastic hair, even as a baby, kind of like Uncle Jesse from Full House! 

My sister Ana was the one doing the cutting and I looked at all the hair on the floor. I just felt like at that moment, my son was truly growing up before my very eyes. 

December 10th marks his 13th birthday.... yeah did you read that? 13! My husband and I will be the parents of a TEENAGER!! 

Okay so I'm a little worried about what this bring, however I'm pretty sure Bill and I have got this thing covered, what with his cleverness and my street smarts.. LOL we can get through it! 

But really my heart seems a bit overwhelmed, and overjoyed at the same time. 13 years ago I had this amazing little fella, who was everything we could have ever asked for. He was beautiful! 

I'm just in awe at the life he's lived, everything that he's been through, and where he's headed. Tonight, as I type this, tears flood my eyes. I am absolutely grateful to GOD for allowing me to be this young man's mother. For allowing my husband to teach him to be a wonderful young man. 

His smile can light any room, and if you could just talk to this kid and try to comprehend how his mind works..it's amazing. He's amazing. 

I pray that Bill and I continue to lead this young man into a life full of love, laughter, obedience, respect, loyalty, honesty, most importantly faith filled. In God we put our trust for our son, Christ Jesus get's all the glory!. We cannot wait to see how God will begin to use this young man to glorify his kingdom. God I thank you, I love you, and I admire you so much.
