A BEAUTIFUL BOND

Almost every night before I go to sleep, I check on my kiddos. I make sure everyone's covered up, has pillows to sleep on, hair out of their face, fan away from their face, teddy bears in place, and most of all they all got into their p.j's.

I say almost every night because sometimes I'm so tired I go straight to bed, but then I stew on the fact that 9 times out of 10 my son Christian probably has the fan DIRECTLY on his face, and 10 times out of 10 Victoria is sleeping in Vivian's bunk and one of them is about to fall off the bed. So I get up and make sure all things are in order and head off to bed.

Why do I do this all the time? I want them to be comfortable, and at peace while they sleep.

Yesterday I was so very tired, I fell asleep in a pile of clothes on my bed with my shoes on!! After about 10 minutes of my power nap, I heard a little pitter patter down the hallway, but I was to tired to get up or move, so I just laid there. My daughter Victoria comes in peaks her head over to my face to see if I'm asleep, moves back around the bed to my feet, takes my shoes off, moves the clothes that were near me, covered me up, put a pillow under my head and left her stuffed animal daisy in my arms, and quietly left the room.

Can I just say that this made me feel deeply loved! This isn't the first time my kiddos have done this but this is the first time I really took notice. Just as I want to make sure they are most comfortable and peaceful, She felt the same about me. That's pretty amazing.

They may or may not know that I do this for them every night, but if they happen to be slightly awake while i'm doing this, and they get the same sense of love that I felt, well, I'll continue to do so!

A bond between a mother and her child is a beautiful one. I am so proud and honored to be the mother of Christian, Victoria, and Vivian. God has truly blessed me.

God Bless Family
