PRAYERS
This past Sunday at 1:30 pm at Lake Andrea in Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin....
My family and I got to witness over 200 people get baptized in Jesus' Name.
Two of my nephews were included. It was an awesome moment to see my nephews choose to take that next step; scared and uncertain how everything would fall into place, but ready for a change!
After a beautiful afternoon at the Journey Church Picnic, we got into the truck to head home. I looked at the clock and it was 3:40 pm. I said to my husband, "Wow we've been out there for 2 hours and 10 minutes!" I just couldn't believe how many people got baptized and how long it took. As I thought about this further, It dawned on me that the Pastors had been out there and some in that water for just as long, if not longer!. Some of them getting done before others, some even getting back into the water to baptize a couple of young men who decided they were ready for a change.
I began to think of how much work the Pastoral staff put in their position, How long it might take for the Lord to lead them in a sermon, how many people they must speak too on a daily basis, how many people they must pray for, how many families they might counsel, all the while saving enough time for their own families...
Please Join me in praying for our Pastors. Lord I pray that you continue to use them in all avenues possible, that the Holy spirit continues to move in their hearts, I pray; that the fire for doing Your work Lord continues to burn so bright and fervently!! Heavenly Father bless them and their families, who also play such a beautiful part in your amazing plans. Father bless them and their work, give them strength, wisdom, courage, boldness, discernment, peace, guidance and grace as they continue leading the church, not just the building Lord but the church as a people. I ask this all in your sons Jesus' precious name.
Amen
