NEW YEAR 2011
As the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve 2011, I found myself surrendered in prayer to God. Determined to usher in the coming year with a transformative heart, I recognized the need to liberate myself from the shackles that held me captive. In those final moments before the new year unfolded, I laid bare my soul—confessing my deepest secrets, confronting worries, anxieties, fears, and sharing both the sorrows and joys that resided within me.
In this vulnerable exchange, I felt the weight lift off my shoulders, creating space for a fresh perspective as I looked to the dawn of a new year. Praise be to God, for only He could transform the fragments of my truth into a new creation.
Initially hesitant to share such a personal revelation, I stumbled upon the story of The Woman with the Issue of Blood in my devotional today. One verse, MARK 5:33 from the Amplified Bible, resonated deeply:
"But the woman, knowing what had been done for her, though alarmed and frightened and trembling, fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth."
This scripture mirrored my own experience, reaffirming the power of laying bare our truths and seeking divine intervention. With this reflection, I offer these words in the hope that they may resonate with someone on their journey. Begin your New Year unburdened, surrender to The King of Kings and may the weight of your worries be replaced with newfound strength and clarity, in Jesus’ name!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🎉
