WHAT'S INSIDE

Two nights ago I was so tired, I  couldn't wait to fall asleep. I placed my bible on my night stand after reading some powerful verses and began to fall asleep. I kept waking up for some reason and I wasn't sure why. I just felt that I was probably going to have a bad dream, so I decided to put the Bible right next to my head as I slept.

Finally, I was in full dream mode. And just and I thought, I began to have a bad dream. In the dream I was being chased by some pretty shady characters. Scary enough for me to actively seek a hiding place away from them. I can remember trying to wake myself from this bad dream, those dark characters were closing in.

I remember dreaming that I woke up in my room but I wasn't actually awake. I began banging my hand on the closed Bible that was next to me and looking up to my ceiling yelling to God, "THIS IS SUPPOSED TO HELP ME! THIS IS SUPPOSED TO HELP ME!!"

That's when everything got quiet- the fear that was present in me was gone, and I was given a gentle reply. "It's what's inside that matters."

I took one last look at the closed Bible in my dream and then I finally really woke myself up. I remember sitting there in the dark thinking to myself, "WOW." I was so blown away at the honest, and undeniable truth of that statement.

In 2 Timothy 3:16-17 it tells us exactly how important Gods word is.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Joshua 1:8a
This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth; but you shall mediate on it day and night.
While I'm not a huge fan of bad dreams, I am thankful to God for this perspective of his omnipotent word!  The cover of The Bible is only protecting the precious infallible Word of God that's on the inside. It's the content of the book that has power!

Thank for that Lord!!

God Bless Family
