15
This past weekend my husband and I had the honor of giving our twin girls a Quinceañera celebration. This is celebrating the young girls' 15th birthday. The transitioning from a little girl into a young lady.
My husband and I wanted to give our girls a wonderful evening, to celebrate the young women they have become in the Lord.
Our girls' Youth Pastor, spoke a God given word over each of the girls. It moved my daughters to tears, as well as our family. He shared the story of our girls lives, explaining how they were born at 27 weeks. Only weighing a little over 1 pound each and that CPR had to be performed on them. What miracles they both were!! He shared the significance of each gift we selected for our family members to present to our girls. Here is a little snippet.
The Earrings- To remember to be listening for God's voice in their lives.
The Tiara- To remember that one day we will lay our crowns at the feet of Jesus! What a glorious day that will be!
The Purity Rings- To remember to stay pure until that day that God brings them each a husband. On the day of their wedding, they will then exchange that ring with the one their husband will give.
The girls were so overwhelmed with joy, it was truly a moving and beautiful ceremony, I had many of those in attendance tell me how beautiful the ceremony was, and how they were moved to tears.
God was honored and that's exactly what Bill and I wanted.
My husband shared a beautiful speech, to our baby girls. Telling them that they are the very best parts of him, and how honored he was to be their daddy. We then moved on to the shoe ceremony. This is where their daddy, took off the flats they were wearing and exchanged them with a beautiful pair of high heals. My girls were again in tears, along with my husband, myself and many of our guests. They got to dance with their daddy for the first time, in their first pair of heals. It was extremely emotional, and powerful at the same time.
My girls then danced the night away with family and friends. They laughed, cried, sang. They had the best night of their lives, and that's all that we ever wanted for them. I heard that they felt like they were "famous". They felt as if they were "princesses".
And they truly were.
We are honored to those who are in their lives, loving and supporting our girls. Pouring into their lives, and our lives. That's what's most important to us.
Victoria & Vivian, Daddy and I are absolutely proud to be your parents. We love you.
God Bless Family
